How can you tell if your area can support a trampoline park?
What to check before you start looking for premises.
In short: Look at how many people live within a reasonable drive, how old they are, what leisure options compete with you, and how many schools and businesses are nearby. Check it all with official data and by visiting the competition.
What data should you gather?
- Population within 15, 30 and 45 minutes by car
- Number of children and young people
- Nearby schools, sports clubs and businesses
- Other leisure centres and their prices
- Access and parking
How do you check the competition?
Visit on a Saturday and on a Tuesday afternoon. Note how busy it is, what it charges, how it sells birthday parties and what its customers say is missing in their reviews.
