How do you choose a supplier for a leisure centre?
The questions that separate a good supplier from a problem.
In short: Ask every supplier for the same things and compare them point by point: what the price includes, where it is made, who installs it, which standard applies, what documents you receive, what warranty they give and what happens when you need a spare part. Talk to their customers before you decide.
What you should compare
- What is included
- Design, manufacture, transport, installation and training.
- Standards and documents
- Which standard applies to each piece of equipment and what you receive.
- After opening
- Warranty, spare parts, inspections and support in your language.
- References
- Projects you can visit and customers you can talk to.
Which questions should you ask?
- Do you manufacture it yourselves or resell it?
- What exactly does the price include?
- Are transport and installation included?
- Who does the assembly: an in-house team or subcontractors?
- Which standard is each piece of equipment designed to?
- What documents do you provide on completion?
- What warranty covers the structure, jump mats and padding?
- Are spare parts available? How long do they take to arrive?
- Can I talk to customers or visit a park?
Why not choose on price alone?
Because the real cost includes transport, assembly, spare parts and the days the centre is closed because of a breakdown. Two quotations with the same total can include very different things.

Frequently asked questions
Is it better to have one supplier that does everything?
A single supplier for design, manufacture and installation keeps responsibilities simple: if something goes wrong, you know who to call.
How many quotations should you ask for?
Enough to make a sound comparison. More important than the number is asking all of them for the same things.
